A kind of pure magic ...

Berlin ... we are back. Somehow this town has something very special.
Never thought of attending such a great concert.
Powerful, exciting, enchanting, delighting.
We are unbelievably happy and deeply thankful to be here.

Ok, lets head for a standing place near the mix ... sounds promising.

New years day was played in dusk, the colours are cold.

Retention, and colours from the original Joshua Tree put us back to 1987

New guitar arrived ...

Seems it's becoming a cold and long winter, and the need to fill the room with rock'n roll.
May I introduce you to the Peavey Generation EXP.

It's a Tele styled guitar, it has a single coil in the neck, another single coil in the middle, and a humbucker pickup in the bridge position.
The solution for the still existing "Vertigo problem" is now here.
Hopefully this guitar stays here for a very long time! Listen to the fist tryout ...

What an extraordinary experience ...

After accomplishing a single soundcheck three days before, Saturday afternoon we went into it. Gabriel's birthday party should be our first real live experience, ohhh yeah! At 17:00 we proudly presented ourselves and our project to the audience.
To give our best into it in order to get an outstanding sound out of it, this was our true mission. Finally, this became true, and all went into the best birthday party in Vienna this Saturday.
Now there is 'appetite' for more to come up ...

Enjoy the sound of Streets, and watch the girl in front of the stage who didn't want to miss the sound either ... ;-)

Time to finally publish Streets!

2005: first guitar arrived here.
2006: first tryout of the song alone.
2012: first tryout of the song together with my mate.
2015: first tryout of the song in front of a real PA together with my mate.
2016: after 11 years of learning by doing, putting passion and our love into it, we finally release the studio version of a song that was introduced 30 years ago!

Enjoy!

Time to publish!

Going out of the mixing room, ... oh, its daylight out there. Wow, where's my red sunglass! I guess it would be a good idea to play Rock'n Roll, instead of doing mixes over and over ... The good news is, we now have a bunch of songs that we are going to publish. With the help of Karaoke Version we mixed some nice covers. Their voice and synthesizer tracks give the songs the ultimate finishing. Thanks to Karaoke Version and Tency Music for the authorization to use their beautiful stuff.

Happy new year!

The 2nd live recording session at Alex' famous 'Midnight Train Studio' is over. We have a lot of audio material in our bag, and we had a lot of fun playing together. Now we are going back, and say, OKAY, ... let's see what is in the box.

What a beautiful collection of guitars!

The ongoing preparation on our first play-list of U2 songs is demanding and long lasting. So far we have 9 songs to play, with one encore on October. Every song needs its specific sound setting, no setting can be used in another song. We are just understanding that in the end we will have a huge data collection of Amp and guitar settings. Edge is used to do this since 35 years. No idea how big this data collection is. Hm... "Big data"? Anyway, here is our collection of guitars ...

... from left to right:
.) Fender Squier Sunburst
.) Hagstrom Pat Smear Signature
.) Noname custom built Stratocaster
.) Fender Mexican Stratocaster Deluxe
.) Ibanez Bass

A sort of homecoming ...

The long lasting motivation of the last U2 concert in Berlin took us right into a sort of homecoming. Recording this song for a few times gives us the first cut, and what a cut!
Moreover, here are some impressions of Berlin ...

Bass players are the best ... any dissent? No? Good, carry on!

Relaxation, exertion, curiousness, creativity, satisfaction, and a feeling of being welcome.
This is the spirit of Berlin, this is what we have been looking for.

A building with such a prominence!

Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlin, 1 hour to go ...

Enjoy!

A great idea ...

Wake up call at 10 in the mornin', its a rainy day. Driving to Alex' home. What started as an ordinary jam session, ended up in a great opportunity to expose ourselfs for the first time. "Alex, what the hell are you doin' with the camera... huh?!?!". Too late, the tape was already recording. Having no idea what to do in front of a camera, we focused on just playing as good as we could. We had so much fun playin Streets on a real PA... what a sound! Sun is rising! Smile on faces. Wondering what has happend. What a great experience! Thanks Alex, for yor ideas and the inspiration to perform one of the most powerful songs available, a song we like so much.

What a beautiful day this sunny sunday was!

Where The Streets Have No Name

...was recorded new while coming back to the Hartke woomma... ;-). Base guitar "came back to town", and the "black-blonde" Fender Stratocaster went into the G-DEC. Some work in the audio studio was done after recording, but very little this time. Definitely the best version we made, thus we decided to stop playing around with this powerful song, focusing on new songs. While extending our capabilities we enjoyed playing on Streets so much. Thank you U2 for this song!

Until The End Of The World

...was recorded new as well. Base guitar came back to the Hartke and the Fender Squier went into the Tech21 Liverpool using some delay from the AX3000G. Quality increased during the last weeks, but still need some fine tuning.

New Years Day

...was recorded new as well. This song is our every day starter, and brings us back from work to the wonderful world of music. Having some delicious toasts, drinking tea and eating cakes or cookies and playing this song is a very special thing to us. This song won't probably never go away. :)

New guitar cover arrived!

Where The Streets Have No Name
...was recorded once again using our new Yamaha "Toaster" ;-). We modified base guitar and the lead guitar as well. The Ibanez BTB was plugged into the Yamaha and the Fender Squier into the G-DEC.
Seems to be the best version we made so far.

New guitar covers arrived!

New Years Day
...was recorded once again using a slightly modified version of EDO's backing track. We modified base guitar a bit and the lead guitar as well. The Ibanez BTB was plugged into the AX3000G and the Fender Stratocaster into the G-DEC. This brought out an amazing sound.

Until The End Of The World
...was recorded for the first time, but still needs some work.

New guitar/bass covers and one new song arrived!

Where The Streets Have No Name
...was recorded newly with the backing track of EDO. Sadly the recording level was set too high, thus the audio only contains the intro part. Actually the most powerful intro we made together. A complete version of the cover is already in work...

New Years Day
...got a new sound and a new backing track was used (EDO) as well. The Squier guitar converts more and more into a Les Paul. Listen and hear the difference!

This day was a special day. We proudly present a part of our first new song. The name of the song is actually unknown, thus we called it "Der Totale Wahnsinn" (DTW) ;-) Enjoy!

Second live performance

After spending many hours creating MIDI backing drum tracks, we went down to a place we have been before, the point where it all started out. This is our second performance at Alex' famous 'Midnight Train Studio', performing all the songs we love so much. We decided not to cut anything in the final mixes, ... hmm... yeah, ok, the one and only "big E" hit starting Bullet The Blue Sky, which somehow *f...* got lost ... ;-). What you hear is what we've played, no fooling around. Just authentic, honest, rough, ... as Rock'n Roll should be. Enjoy!
